OZFM’s Rock Trip to Guns ‘N Roses in
Halifax, brought to you by Jungle Jim’s, Global Gym, and the Rock of
the Rock, OZFM. (Listen to the Dawn Patrol, Wednesday morning, for
the official on-air announcement! When you hear the sounder on OZFM,
be caller 9, 4, or 7 to qualify.
RULES & REGULATIONS: GUNS N' ROSES @ HALIFAX METRO CENTRE, FEB 4
1. GRAND PRIZE: One grand prize will consist of the following:
four (4) concert tickets to Guns N' Roses at
Halifax Metro Centre, Feb 4, with special guests Sebastian Bach and
Danko Jones; return airfare for four (4) from St.
John's, Newfoundland, to Halifax, Nova Scotia, departing St. John's
on or around Feb 3 and returning from Halifax on or around Feb 5;
hotel accomodations (double occupancy);
$1000 CDN spending money; four (4) aftershow passes
to attend the official aftershow "meet and greet"; and a
1-on-1 guitar lesson with Guns N' Roses guitarist Bumblefoot.

2. HOW TO ENTER: Listen to OZFM for the official Guns N' Roses
contest sounder, which will air numerous times each day during the
contest period (Jan 6, 2010 – Jan 29, 2010). When you hear the
sounder, call OZFM at (709) 273-2255 and be caler number 9, caller
number 4, or caller number 7 to qualify.
3. ELIGIBILITY: The sponsors of this contest are OZFM, Jungle Jim's,
and Global Gym (collectively the "Sponsors"). To enter and be
eligible to win, a person must be a legal resident of Newfoundland
and Labrador, and must not be an employee of, or member of the
immediate family of an employee, or domiciled with an employee of:
the Sponsors, prize suppliers, or their respective agents or
associated companies. Void where prohibited by law.
4. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
5. WINNER SELECTION: One (1) grand prize winner will be selected at
random during the Dawn Patrol broadcast of Jan. 29, 2010, on OZFM's
Dawn Patrol. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries
received. All selections and decisions are final. Winner will be
contacted by phone later that day. If the selected winner cannot be
contacted within 48 hours, or cannot accept the prize and forfeits,
OZFM reserves the right to select a new winner from the eligible
entries.
6. APPLICABLE LAW: The contest is subject to all applicable Federal,
Provincial and Municipal laws and regulations.
7. PERSONAL INFORMATION: By entering the contest and accepting a
prize, entrants consent to the collection, use, storage and
distribution of their personal information, including without
limitation their name, age, and/or photograph by the Sponsors in
reference to all matters related to this contest or in any publicity
carried out by them without compensation and agree to abide by the
contest rules and the decisions of the independent contest
organization and the Sponsors. Such information is only stored for
as long as required to complete the purpose for which it was
collected. We respect your privacy and entrant's personal
information shall NOT be provided to any third party by the Sponsors
without the entrant's consent.
8. RELEASE AND INDEMNIFICATION: By entering the contest, each
entrant releases and holds harmless the Sponsors, prize suppliers,
their respective agents, representatives and associated companies,
and all of their respective directors, officers and employees from
any and all liability for injuries, loss or damage of any kind
whatsoever including without limitation personal injury, death or
property damage resulting in whole or in part, directly or
indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize,
participation in this contest, or participation in any prize related
activity and agrees to fully indemnify the Sponsors, prize
suppliers, their respective agents, representatives and associated
companies, and all of their respective directors, officers and
employees from claims by third parties without limitation.
9. RELEASE: Winners will be required to sign one or more
declaration, indemnity and release forms in a form acceptable to the
persons listed below, confirming compliance with the contest rules
and acceptance of a prize as awarded and indemnifying and releasing
the Sponsors, prize suppliers, their respective agents,
representatives and associated companies, and all of their
respective directors, officers and employees from any liability in
connection with this contest or occurring as a result of the prizes
being awarded.
10. GENERAL: All entries become the property of OZFM, who assumes no
responsibility for entries that are lost, late, delayed, destroyed
or misdirected for any reason whatsoever or for any computer errors
or malfunctions. Neither the Sponsors, prize suppliers, or their
respective agents shall be responsible for any errors, negligence,
losses or damages of any nature whatsoever that may arise or occur
in connection with this contest or a prize. The Sponsors assume no
responsibility for incorrect or incomplete capture of entry
information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error,
seeding or printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or
transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures
of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment,
software, or any combination thereof. Entry materials/data that may
have been tampered with or altered are void. If for any reason, in
the opinion of the Sponsors, this contest is not capable of running
as originally planned, or if the administration, fairness, integrity
or the proper conduct of this contest is corrupted or adversely
affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs,
tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or
any other causes beyond its control, OZFM reserves their right to
cancel, terminate, modify, amend, extend or suspend this contest
including canceling any method of entry, and select a winner (or
winners) from previously received eligible entries. The Sponsors
reserve the right to modify the contest rules and regulations
without materially affecting the terms and conditions thereof. The
Sponsors reserve their right in their sole discretion to disqualify
any individual or individuals it finds to be tampering with the
entry process or the operation of the contest or to be acting in
violation of the contest rules and regulations or otherwise in a
disruptive manner. Any attempts to deliberately damage any web site
or to undermine the legitimate operation of this contest is a
violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be
made the Sponsors reserve the right to seek remedies and damages to
the fullest extent of the law. The Sponsors shall not be held
responsible for any errors or negligence that may arise or occur in
connection with this contest including any damage to an entrant's
computer equipment, system, software or any combination thereof, as
a result of their participation in this contest or from downloading
any material from the contest web site, where applicable. The
Sponsors may modify or withdraw this contest, without liability if
any printing/production errors occur, without public notice. Prize
is non-transferable, except at the sole discretion of OZFM.
11. ADDITIONAL PRIZING INFORMATION: Please note: aftershow passes
will grant temporary access to the official aftershow "meet and
greet", backstage on the evening of the concert. Aftershows are
typically backstage following the concert, where fans can meet band
members, get autographs, take pictures with band members, etc. Guns
N' Roses and venue management may decide, at their discretion, to
postpone or cancel the aftershow, or eject any individuals in
attendance, for security reasons or any other reasons. While each
aftershow is attended by various members of Guns N' Roses, there is
no guarantee who will attend (you may or may not meet any particular
member of the band).
The 1-on-1 guitar lesson with Guns N' Roses guitarist Bumblefoot is
an informal meeting with Bumblefoot (which may take place backstage
or at the hotel), during which Bumblefoot has agreed to provide a
"guitar lesson" to the winner. Winner does not need to be a
guitarist to enjoy this element on the prize. Estimated guitar
lesson duration is 30 minutes, but may run longer at Bumblefoot's
discretion/availability. If the winner doesn't bring a guitar,
Bumblefoot will lend a guitar to the winner for the duration of the
lesson (this guitar remains the property of Bumblefoot). For more
